About the Association

The association was founded by Ron Frumerman, with the aim of improving the wellbeing of lone soldiers and wounded soldiers we produce events for soldiers in the field units.

Over more than 20 years, Ron initiated and produced dozens of events for the welfare of lone soldiers. Alongside the events, soldiers in need received food baskets, appliances, furniture, laptops and more.

Since it was founded, the association has supported hundreds of lone soldiers every year, from direct financial assistance, through appliances, furniture and clothing, to laptops handed out before and after discharge from the IDF.

All of the association's activity is carried out on a voluntary basis. The association pays no salaries and runs no paid fundraising operation. Every shekel donated goes to the work itself.

Assistance is given directly to the soldier: a laptop handed to them in person, a financial grant transferred to them, a refrigerator or washing machine installed in their apartment. We work with Lone soldiers chief in the Kibbutzim, the welfare officers in the units and with social services, and we reach the soldiers who genuinely have no family support in Israel.

The association supports lone soldiers as defined in the IDF General Staff Orders: soldiers whose parents live abroad, and soldiers with no functioning family support in Israel, among them those estranged from their parents, orphans and foster-care graduates.

In addition, at the initiative of the association, events have been produced for soldiers in the field units who serve on the line and near the training areas.

Ron for Lone Soldiers is a registered Israeli non-profit association, registration number 580745461.

The association holds public institution status for donations under Section 46 of the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance, so a donation is eligible for a tax benefit in Israel. Donors in the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Canada can give through JGive and receive a tax credit in their own country.
